1. Personal Information the App Collects

When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account via the Shopify API:

• Shop Owner Information: We collect your shop's domain, primary email address, and shop owner name to manage your account and provide technical support.
• App Content Data: We store the FAQ questions and answers you input into the App to display them correctly on your storefront.

Important Note on Customer Privacy: Our App is designed with a “Privacy First” approach. We do NOT collect, store, or process any personal information from your customers (the shoppers visiting your website). We do not use tracking cookies, pixels, or any analytical tools to monitor customer behavior.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected from your store to:

• Provide the core functionality of the App (rendering the FAQ accordion on your theme).
• Verify your identity for access to the App's configuration dashboard.
• Communicate with you regarding technical updates, maintenance, or support inquiries.

3. Data Storage and Retention

All data is stored on secure servers maintained by CV Infotech. We implement robust industry-standard security measures to protect your shop's configuration data. Your data is retained as long as the App remains installed on your store.

4. Mandatory Shopify Webhooks (GDPR Compliance)

We strictly comply with Shopify's mandatory webhook requirements to protect merchant and customer privacy:

• Customer Data Request (customers/data_request): Since we do not store customer data, we will provide a null response to these requests.
• Customer Redaction (customers/redact): No action is required as no customer PII is stored in our database.
• Shop Redaction (shop/redact): Upon receiving this webhook after an app uninstallation, we will permanently delete all data associated with your shop from our servers within 48 hours.

5. Rights of European Residents

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to request that your personal information be corrected, updated, or erased. To exercise these rights, please contact us through the information below.
